Motordyne Dual Shockwave w/Ti Tips Pics/Soundclips
is there any drone under normal/economical acceleration? I'm getting mine installed otmorrow and after reading and listening to sound clips over and over, hopefully i don't regret this.. :-(
I used to have an HKS single and that thing was TOO loud.

^What are you referring to? If you bought a shockwave....generally, the exhaust WILL BE LOUD. If you're referring to the loudness of the drone; most likely no if you bought the V2.

In city/neighborhood driving there's a good amount of drone while accelerating but once you get up to speed there's practically none (same for highway driving; no drone if you're just cruising). It's only loud when you want it to be.
I think everyone is misunderstanding the meaning of "drone".
The sound it makes in-cabin at a specified RPM that has a consistent harmonic note, which is usually deep and very annoying.

Cabin noise is noisy but bearable imo....
Price you pay for a loud exhaust note.
I have had so many compliments on the tone of the exhaust from older guys and younger all love it...best money i have ever spent
.
Thanks tony ... keep making awesome parts

I've had mine on for a while now, and I absolutely love it. It mellowed out after having it on for a while too, it's not quieter by any means just smoother. Now to get some HFCs on it...
The drone on the V1 is right after about 3000rpm. If you just keep the revs in that range it's pretty loud in the cabin but if you're just cruising your rpm's will probably be lower-->no drone while cruising.
Here's a little teaser for everyone...

I didn't get a chance to snap a pic with my tips on.
This exhaust is INCREDIBLE!!! Zero and I mean zero drone! Tony, you have created audible bliss. In cabin, it almost sounds stock while cruising, and with the windows up and WOT it sounds very clean...almost exotic.
I need to get a friend to drive my car so I can hear it from the outside and I also need to hear it with my windows down (raining really good here). Sweet baby Jesus in a manger, I can't wait for warm weather now
I'll get sound clips up on Saturday for everyone, and if you were wondering I've got: Iso Spacer, MREV2, Berk HFC, XYZ w/resonator, and then the best part
Shockwave V2.

I bought an exhaust last year thru HP Logic and they installed it also. They had a problem with my rear lip and had to put some shims on the mounting to lower the exhaust. That was no problem until I lowered the car. As you can see in this pic how close it is the the ground and it wasn't drastically lowered either. You can also see that the rear lip is just wrapped around the rear bumper. What can I do?

They are the same loudness and both need the extension to fit the G35C.
Yes,this exhaust and the TDX have the resonator in different relative locations. They both have 2.5" and 3" tubing but the TDX has a higher flow capacity and has more headroom for FI applications.

In your case with the G35C you will also need the Nismo style extension. We have them listed in the component section of our website.
