Default Got my leaky plenum fixed today..good results

Brought my car to Nissan today for warranty work.

My car had a leaky plenum. I always heard a hissing sound, very faint sound and barely noticable but never thought much of it. Everything still seem to run fine besides my car idling at .7rpm. I thought this was normal since other people told me that it should be idling around .8rpm.

i brought it in and asked if they can raise my idle to 1rpm. but they wanted to know why my car was idling a bit low. so they got me new plenum gaskets, throttle body gaskets, cleaned the throttle body and reset.

they didn't raise the idle because after the leak was fixed, it is idling near 1rpm.

Let me tell you guys, the car feels GREAT! throttle response is amazing. usually 1-3 rpm felt very laggy if i accelerated anywhere below 3 rpm. Not it feels good, i thought putting on 19 le37s was the reason my throttle response was not as good because how wide they are, especially in the back with wide tires. but now they feel so light and the car just feels light by itself. I can't believe i have been letting this problem go on this long. Such a small problem with such huge results when fixed.

For any of you guys with similar problem, go get it fixed. I'm glad i did. thank you Nissan.

I think there is suppose to be a slight hissing sound. That is normal. There is a valve...Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

this hissing sound was clearly from the side of the plenum. If i pushed down very hard, it would go away but i didn't want to tighten the bolts too hard or they will strip. Good thing i didn't because i had a bad gasket.

.5 rpm is pretty low.

stock idle is 650 rpms +/- 50 rpms, per my 2004.5 G35 FSM.
