[QUOTE=HIGHTECHZ] a 3" true dual is too much flow and with NA a little back pressure actually helps. QUOTE]
back pressure helps nothing...back pressures reduces power to the wheels, higher exhaust velocity helps exhaust scavenging effects (increase in engine power/efficiency)

A single exhaust has one outlet. A dual exhaust has two outlets.

If you go test pipes use single exhaust if you go if high flow cats or stock converters go dual. It just depends on the sound you want also.

I was thinking someone should make a triple exhaust. How cool would that be!

the type of exhaust you get depends on the route that you want to go...do you have FI plans or staying N/A...or like most they buy a exhaust for just the sound and or performance gains

Default single exhaust or dual?

I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong place but....

I'm looking to get an exhaust for my Z, I know the stock exhaust isn't a true dual and I was looking towards getting the Megan Racing Drift Spec 3" exhaust which is a single exhaust. Some people make a big deal about the "true dual" exhaust and then I hear from some that the true dual actually doesn't improve the cars performance as much as people make them out to. Can anyone help me out here?

Doubt if I have anything to add that has not been discussed during the past 23 months. Sorry.
