Single vs Dual Exhaust Question & Answer Thread
The dual will give you two exhaust tip notes, in harmony, personally like the sound of that over the single exit. If you're running a straight engine, the singles are fine, but having the two banks of a V6, i feel you can benefit from the exhaust note with a dual. Bear i mind that only the right dual will work, they have to have some decent R&D into the sound over just a stainless pipe.
You pay good money for those setups though, i believe the quality of the note is worth it, i'll hear it *every* *single* *time* i drive it, so like i'll choose a good screen for my pc (*always* looking at it, not matter games or work) i'll always try and afford a quality system.
Had a *full* Fujitsubo system for my Prelude, it was developed on the Prelude and not just made to fit that car (like a lot of systems) and for the 350, i'm going full Motordyne, again, developed on the 350, for sound and for power.
Technically, the Prelude Fujitsubo was quieter than stock (believe it or not) But you'd never know from hearing the sweet note it made.

But it kind of helps me save fuel mileage, not reving the car farther everytime because my ears will hurt the louder it gets. haha. and yeah i have a vortech supercharger going on it in three weeks and i cant wait to see what it sounds like then. at least you have a turbo to act as a muffler to quite down the exhaust a little bit.
Many people don't use a single setup because if you're serious about making power then you want to have a true dual exhaust. Not to mention it looks much better. Unless you have a single turbo setup. And if you have the cash go titanium because power to weight ratio is everything with our cars considering the lightweight Honda competition we have out there. I have the HKS hi power true dual with resonated test pipes and I love it. People compliment it all the time.

My Agency single exit. The sound is simply amazing when opening it up on the highway!

I had AAM 3" Single and it was th greatest single exhaust I've ever heard. Then I wanted to see what true Dual would not only sound like but feel like. I got motordyne TDX 2 exhaust and it sound amazing as well.
Single sounds so much better than all the duals out there it's sad.
THIS FREAD IS WINZORS
not.
Pick one that is the volume level you like, and gives the tone you want. F** what everyone else says and move on. GEEEBUS KRIST.

exactly....
OP, your question suggest that you need to answer this your damnn self, cause in the end its your personal preference, and nearly every answer/reply you received are all about "this is what i like" etc..etc...
Form follows function:
I have a single exhaust because i track the car ONLY. track only z.
that being said...
1. (EASE OF REMOVAL - to work on track car)I have a custom single exhaust that i paid to have a local shop weld together. I designed it to where the bolts are welded to the corresponding flanges and it takes 3 easy to remove nuts to drop the ENTIRE exhaust.
so, having a track car that im constantly working on, i can drop the exhaust in a few minutes.
2. (LIGHT Weight - again, cause its a track car) due to single over most dual exhaust systems, my system is super light in comparison to others.
3. (Diff service - Track car) due to single, and not taking up tons of space in the rear, i can service the rear diff easily.
4. (Diff overflow) I now have room in the rear for diff overflow can - this allows me track side to monitor my diff fluid overflow and replace as needed. having the single gave up tons of room to mount this.
5. (pin stay towing tie downs) I now have no dual can crap in the way where i welded D links to my rear pin stay and now have a direct frame tie down when towing my car to events. makes loading and unloading the car onto the trailer super super easy..
etc..etc..etc....form follows function...
golden question - do i like single exahust over dual.....meh, its ok, i could care less what it all LOOKS like...

so after i had set my mind on a true dual exshaust i seen a single at a car meet and was shocked..now im back to square one
...i was wondering if anyone here has had this problem and can help me. i would like to know is there a real significant performence difference between the two. i have a 08' (hr motor) touring with aem CAI and adding motordyne art test pipes. after looking around i rather hear some personal experience with the two such as if people went with a single and switched back to a dual or visversa. either way any surgestions are highly apprciated thanks
oh and im not plaing to boost till next year or so everything is pretty much stock for now
