Default Intake polished pipe [ no pcv hole ]

I'm just curious..... I got a intake pipe polished but it doesn't have the pcv pipe hole to fit the factory pcv hose . Is it bad to leave the hose laying free and not clamped to the intake pipe?

The hose that connects/clamps to #13 (bottom of intake pipe)

Should the hose be clamped to the intake? Yes unless you want it to fall off. Just buy a simple hose clamp.

you don't get my question. i'm going to put my polished intake pipe but it doesn't have the pcv hole like the factory pipe does. so if i do put the polished pipe the pcv hose wouldn't be connected to the intake pipe. my question is if the pcv hose isn't connected to the intake pipe is that bad?

The PCV valve may effect:

a. Fuel injection system
b. air/fuel mixture
c. Cylinder misfire
d. Idle RPM

Yes I would make sure it was connected properly.

Well, it could suck up debris or it could spew out oil vapor. Either way, I don't think you want it entirely disconnected as others have noted... If your intake piping does not have a port for the hose, you could just attach a small breather filter. That would not be emissions legal though, so tuck it away.

Just buy a small breather filter from your local autoparts store.

I highly doubt that the ecu will notice anything.

But with the breather filter, your engine bay may stink from the oily vapor that used to be sucked into your intake manifold.
