ok...
Just got home and saw all the replies...

About the Injen, the reason for the popping/flame is that it actually hits so fast the fuel cut that when the injectors supply again fuel the mixture explodes sending unburned fuel and flame to the rear. Haven't you guys seen a Single Turbo Supra hit the rev limiter? It actually does the same thing.
Anyway, when you have your cats, that flame is restricted by them, when you don't have them, woooshh!... out it goes!
When we recorded the clips, my brother did the revving, and he couldn't help noticing how fast my car (the one with SES) revved, and of course he didn't know when to get off!

When you drive around, there is no popping, actually there is no popping ever, if you don't hit the limiter.
Sometimes when I'm drag racing, for a split second I hit the rev limiter and a little pop goes as I engage the next gear. It actually sounds cool.

Glad you guys liked it!

Could you provide a comparison of all mods done to each car? This was the same driver correct? I couldn't help but think that the Injen modded car seemed faster and was wondering if the only difference was in the exhaust. Seems like the red car with headers, test pipes, and dual exhaust should be quicker. Maybe it was simply the driver and had nothing to do with the cars? Also, did you go dual exhaust before test pipes? Would you still go that route or would you go test pipes first if you had it to do over?

Thanks for the clips Javi and Webcar. The Injen/cat pipes clip sounds pretty nasty (as in good). I like.

Well, my brother drove his car (blue) and I drove mine (Red) on the video, he is a little extreme when driving his car... I'm a little more conservative ... actually the only thing I have that he don't have is headers... I put the test pipes after put in the Borla and he put it before the Injen, eaither way is good, the important thing is that together they are a perfect combination... we race a couple of days ago and we went head to head all the way... both cars are runnig pretty good!

I haven't actually paid too much attention in terms of how fast it builds up to be honest, but I'm pretty sure that it has to do with how you drive your car, in terms of how many times you go WOT... in my case almost everyday

Wow, the two systems sound totally different. They both sound nice but I would have to lean towards the Borla setup. The Injen exhaust does sound mean and intimidating but I am leaning towards the more subtle yet aggressive tone of the Borla.

Guess I'm going to have to see and hear these two cars in person in December when I go to P.R. for vacation.

Overall gains are better in the Injen set up, and it's a few pounds lighter.

OMG that Injen sounds sooo good with the test pipes. I just ordered the SES exhaust but now I need to order some test pipes. I like the flame BTW, I bet that would look nice driving at night.
