I used to rasp with my JIC single.. last year I put on the MD Y pipe with the resonator and it quieted down the rasp. Actually it went away. But my rasp wasn't as bad as most peoples. It'll definitely help.

so.... little update. i do not have the y installed yet because i agreed to do a quick dyno run for Tony. to do this correctly the dynos must be done back to back to see if there is any difference and that involves installing the y-pipe on site. the y-pipe install is the simplest thing that i have ever done and it can be done in 20-30 min at home on jack stands.... the quote i got was $ 100 for the install and 175 for back to back dyno so total of 275 .... that totally blew my mind and i now am looking for a different dyno...

i am not greedy nor a cheap ***... but that price is wack ! needless to say that some shop just lost a good customer.

^^^ Good choice on picking a new dyno to use. the most i've paid for back to back dyno's is 75 dollars here in Colorado....

Anyways, 302whp, is still my guess... Motordyne is the BEST!!!

my dual shockwave makes beautiful music above 3.5k rpms... below that its a bit loud on the ears... this is with stock cats.... with HFCs or TPs it would be unbearable (for me anyways)

Today is the day.

1. the Resonated XYZ pipe cleans up the rasp 99% and quiets down the exhaust a few dB. I like it

2. on the back to back dyno the XYZ vs. Tanabe showed ~2hp and ~2tq - not much, but it is a gain.

3. the option to run a resonator, cat or a straight pipe is a huge plus !

So I confirm that XYZ made by Tony is actually better in more than one way. If a Y-pipe setup is your goal - look no further.

I don't like the numbers on this Dyno, so maybe Forged dyno reads way more ( did i get screwed on the tune then ? ) or this dyno reads way less..
.

and FYI - the dyno and install ended up costing me 100.

Right on Tac-M!

The gain and change in sound is exactly what I expected.

All dyno runs read differently. I've had numbers as low as 240 all the way up to 253 when i was bone stock with no mods in between. (same dyno) I'm sure your over 300whp now

Anyways, Tony's products are always helpful, i'm glad your content.

Nice, you never posted the sound comparison. Do you have clips with XYZ pipe added?
