Xerd header install

Just installed the Xerd headers on our 350.
The install is actually a little easier than with the Nismo shorties. There is more clearance around the studs for the nuts.
Should have an idea next week when the other motor runs on the engine dyno.

so can you give us a little more explanation on how to install these, also do you have a link to the install on the nismo headers... I saw it on the net a long time ago. Last question is since these headers eliminate all the cats, are they using o2 simulators to achieve no check engine lights. Do these sims tap into the factory harnesses or do you have to cut and splice to get them to work. Also can you give me Xerd's website so I can do a little more research?

couple of questions,
first were you runing cat pipes with the nismo headers or were u using the cats. if you were using cat pipes have you noticed a power increase or trotle response. I pose this question because i tend to belive that if you have already the cat pipes and one decides to go with shorties like borla or nismo the gains in Hp would be close to hte gains with the long headers.
Can you relate if the noise incresed much or is it the same with the nismo headers?
hoping to hear from you

I think many people aren't interested in a product like this since it eliminates the cats. Don't get me wrong, for a track-only car, I'm *very* interested in something like this and I'm very interested to see what it does for the power of the engine!

I just ordered these headers on Saturday and waiting for them to arrive. The reason people don't jump on this headers is due to some issues with XERD. When I get these headers, I will let everyone know how is XERD doing their business. So far the guy been great.
I also would like to know how loud it is compare to NISMO or Borla headers.

The doy seem to have more bends than the borla/nismo headers. It will be interesting to see how they compare to the other guys.... of course I guess you need to compare them to nimso headers + testpipes to be fair.

I would realy like to know if you noticed a power increase, reason being because I would like to order them, but I have my doubts since this are the only headers with this design.
I dont think any other company has made a header like this one.
please be honest with your opinion with regards to increase in power, throttle response
thank you

I called to the number on your website but no awnser.
I really need to know if there is a substantial increase in power, right now I have my cat pipes and could sell them to buy these headers or just buy the Borlas and keep my pipes.

Hey... excellent photo. I wanted to point something out.
Is it normal to see very minute oil residue in this area?
Once in awhile I take a cotton swap and check the driver side and the passenger side. I notice the driver side is a little worst. The residue is very little and shows up at tip of the cotton swab... it's smaller than a drop of oil.
There's no oil drip anywhere, but there is a small oil stain on the valve cover by the bolt (in the yellow circles).
The situation hasn't gotten any worst (close to 7000mi since Oct. '02), and after hard driving... it still looks the same. It takes a few weeks for anything to build up.
