Default Quetion on Motordyne Plenum spacer?

hi,

I am considering getting a Motordyne Plenum spacer.

which height can i get so it still fit under the struct bar? 1/2"? 5/16"?

Does the car need tuning after the spacer is installed to get the max performance? if so, what kind of tuning does it involve?

If i don't tune it, i will get ~10hp?... i am not sure i can even feel that!

I do haev JWT pop charger and Nismo exhaust.. hoping the pacer would add some HP that i can feel.

thanks

Only the 5/16" spacer will fit under the strut bar and it won't need a tune.

It will make the HP but how it is felt is subjective. Most people can feel it and some won't ...but it will always make gains on the dyno.

It is unlikely that you will need a tune. If you were to add high flow cats or test pipes then it would make a tune more valuable.

you need to get all your basic bolt-ons before you need a tune. HFC's, catback, spacer, popcharger, etc. Then get a tune. BTW, you WILL feel the difference the spacer makes.

^ +1, don't waste money on a tune with just those mods. It cant hurt if your not planning on doing anything else for a while but I don't really see it necessary. Just reset the ecu.

I believe, don't quote me cause I'm not 100% sure, but this is what I like most about the ISO Thermal.

Comes with Copper Throttle Body heater. It's an optional plug and play, set and forget component that can be used in place of the Coolant Control Valve (CCV). It doesn't matter how hot or cold the weather is, you don't have to adjust a valve based on the season or ambient temperatures. Just install it and the throttle body remains heated and the plenum remains cool.

I like that cause I'm lazy. Here where I live during the spring/fall you wake up at 6a.m. it can be in the low 40's then on the drive home at 5p.m. it'll be 87degrees out. With that copper TB from MD I don't have to keep switching that lever up and down all the time.
