Bassani VS MD Shockwave VS MD TDX
I am in the market for an exhaust right now, and I am looking for the best performing while having a good sound as well. If I could afford it id go with the Amuse R1 or ARC but uhh yeah. So id like to get a few opinions on the exhausts I have narrowed it down to, also if anyone has some other types of exhausts to suggest im open to it.. other than that I wanna see what you guys have to say about it. I will be purchasing the Injen CAI's and some TP's / hfc's at the same time if it makes any difference.
EDIT: I will not be going turbo anytime soon.

If you are considering the MD (single), you should read this. There are a lot of sound clips for you to consider it: https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...ml#post7479365

Well the TDX is more of a Turbo application exhaust, so I would through that one out.
Power wise, its a catback, test pipes will gain more power than a cat back. Of course both exhausts are going to gain some power over stock, but against each other I dont see there being a big marginal difference. I would go with what you think sounds better. If you like a quieter, deep exhaust, then bassani. If you want a deep growl loud exhaust, then MD.
Here are some vids of mine.
Here is stock cats.

Here is Berk HFC added: HFC actually made it a little more "bright" I guess is the best way to describe it.

Well the nice thing about the MD is that you have many options. Such as:
Dual SS Canisters
Dual Ti Canisters
No Canister (This is what I have)
Y Pipe is interchangeable with a: Resonator, Straight pipe, and a cat.
So you have many options on how you want to build your exhaust to make it sounds the way you want. I am running the Dual Shockwave with no rear canisters and the resonator on the Y pipe.
So in your case, I would suggest the Dual Shockwave with the Dual SS Canisters, and the resonator on the Y pipe. That should give you a nice deep sound and should not be as loud as mine. Or you can go with the Bassani. One thing to consider also, is that the Bassani is not a great looking exhaust IMO, the Canister versions of the Shockwave look the injen and HKS style and sound great, and you now have the option for standard Ti tips or a little more for the rolled ti tips.

The Bassani is great for me since I use the car as a daily driver. I can't have something that's obscenely loud to the point where my head is still rattling after I drive for 45 minutes. The tone is great and it's louder than stock. It doesn't get high-pitched at higher RPMs like the Nismo... pretty deep throughout.
I'm using stock cats. In my opinion it sounds the best with HFC's. The Shockwave on TheOtherRob's car sounds great- not "ricey" at all, but damn. It is LOUD. I feel sorry for his neighbors.

From ownership experience, Bassani sound great, however, build quality is crap. I had welds break at the X pipe. Over the phone, they gave me the run-around. Since they were local, I went down there to resolve the matter. I was given a replacement, which I unloaded ASAP. They need to stick with what they are good at, making gym equipment.

I am biased of course, but I love the md dual shockwave. Very easy to install, looks great and the sound is pure sex. I have gotten so many compliments on it. You can't go wrong with it. Also, Tony at motordyne has great customer service.
You can't beat great service plus great products. MD FTW!!
