I am actually surprise by that. The videos still make the exhaust sound loud. But videos are horrible at giving you the idea of a exhaust sound. You can look at my vids and say " Oh thats not that loud..." lol. I love mine, its quiet as stock cruising the highway, and when getting up to speed its mean and loud. I can even be at 45 mph and be in 4th or 5th and barley notice the exhaust since its only really loud between 3k-5k.

I was surprised as to how well the straight honeycomb muffler from MD worked. I was always under the impression that only chambered muffler can significantly bring noise down but I was wrong.
You know what though, I wonder if the HR and DE sounds any different from one another.

From what Ive seen/heard ON the net the Shockwave is wayyyyy loud for a daily driver and has alot of drone. I am torn between the Bassani and Gamma myself but for the price I can get Bassani ($960) with TP's (Megan/Berk/APS $160-$220) for Less than Dual Gamma catback ($1500).....The MD exhausts do look like very nice stuff but its sooo damn expensive, Id have to have a big difference between the two in sound and performance to pay and extra $500
BTW bassani with testpipes will be LOUD!!! I set off car alarms in parking decks even when im just cruising lol. NOw i have longtube headers and its even louder but raspier

hahahha REALLY? Is that resonated or non resonated? I had resonated tp before and it sounded so much better, little to no rasp. NOw i have longtubes(non resonated) and the rasp is driving me nuts sometimes. Also is the true dual motordyne lighter than stock? I know the bassani is heavy as crap.
Ill have a vid clip of my setup soon,...maybe this weekend

im sure with hfc u dont get rasp, im pretty sure with hfc u wont get rasp with the bassani either. Like i said i had little to no rasp with resonated TP. But when i went with megan longtube headers rasp appeared. If i switch exhaust im not taking these longtubes out, lol PITA! So i want to get something that wont have rasp with non resonated. Exhaust im looking at are
Motordyne (the one with the titanium canisters/tips)
ARK True Dual
HKS(primarily for looks, dont like the sound plus im sure itll be rasp heaven with my setup)

Yea I have no rasp with the resonated tps. I don't know the exact weight of the Motordyne exhaust but IMO I think it feels lighter then stock.

i don't know if this helps the OP or not, but i'm pretty sure i'm getting rid of my bassani for the motordyne.
the bassani is way too raspy with the unresonated test pipes, where the motordyne has hardly any.

the one vid that was posted of the red HR with tps and bassanni made me fall for that exhaust. And some of u r saying that Shockwave dont have rasp i wanted to go dual shockwave after the one vid was posted with tps however after my 1st success with my custom single im gonna have a great CHEAPER success with my dual when i start fabbing it

here's a comparison between the bassani (my z) and the motordyne (nateclipse's z). both are videos are at the same place. this should give everyone an idea.

I just put on my dual shockwave ti today and I love it. It is a very loud exhaust but not obnoxiously loud. If I'm cruising and holding it around 2K rpm it does drone with the windows up. My typical cruising speeds are 45-50 (in 5th) and 60-70 (6th) and there's hardly any drone at these speeds. Now flooring it, this exhaust screams, but it sounds mature, it doesn't have that buzz that some other exhausts get.
I've got a resonator btw the xyz pipe and the center section and the straight pipes from the axle back. I'm also running stock cats and headers.
long story short - it looks amazing, it sounds sick.... Motordyne FTW
