If you are in CA, I would save up the dough to get a HFC so that you can still swap out when you take your car for emission's testing. Why hollow it out when you really need it?

thx for the input. so what about the RASP? will i be hearing a deeper exhaust tone, or will it rasp like there are loose screws in my pipes...

not sure, I've only heard one clip on youtube and read some posts here that says it rasp just a little on cold starts but it's gone when it's warmed up..
you can pick up stock exhaust pipes for cheap if you ever decided to go back to stock
okay, interesting. what about if i was to completely straight pipe it? no cats, no resonator...just complete...whats it called test pipes, Y pipe, it? how much power would i gain, how much more rasp will i experience, if any? thxx

I have AAM non-resonated test pipes and get a bit of rasp around 3k. Its not horrible and I live with it but it is not a pleasant sound either.
