Default Test Pipe(Trade In Car)?

Hey fellow Z owners

Just a general question(if you guys could possible help out)

Im looking to trade my car(for a 370z nismo) and i wanted to see if the dealership would say anything about my test pipes.(I know they are not going to look under my car but after the fact) Once we complete the transaction, is there anything that they could do or am is gonna be in any legal problems with them?(just wanted to make sure before i go and trade my car in)

Thx For All Your Help

you removed something that has a federal regulation...what do you think is going to happen to you if you get caught, you think the dealer is going to pay the fine when it gets discovered

The dealer might dock you $100 for test pipes. Vehicles may have to be inspected before sale. A trade-in will bypass the inspection. Check your local laws.

save yourself the potential headache and throw stock cats on if you still have em (or buy em cheaply in the fs section), and sell your TPs to recover some of the cost.

People in the classified sections will gladly trade you their stock cats fir test pipes, especially if they live in a smog free state. But I think if the dealer doesn't catch the mod and the deal is complete, it's no longer your responsibility what is right or wrong with the car. If they can't smog it, they'll just clear the ecu and throw it into an auction where other dealers will have to deal with the headache, hah.

Thx for all the input guys =)

And ya i was thinking the same thing that once the dealer would make the deal, that it would be there responsility to fix it (I just didnt want them to come back and say "hey u need to fix this or we are going to file something against me") Anyways, if someone has any more helpfull info it would greatlly be appreciated.(Probably going to make the deal in a month or so)

Thx For Your Help
