Angry Stock Muffler Removal instruction

I need HELP!!!!!!!! Just got my new Nismo exhaust and tried to installed it yesterday afternoon. I was able to get everything removed with the exception of the Stock Muffler. I spent almost an hour trying to remove it from the rubber hanger. Can someone tell me how to remove them. I sprayed it with grease and was able to remove the front two. The back two that mainly holds the exhaust I was not able to remove. I ran out of time and had to put the stock one back. I was so close.... Please help. Pictures or video link will be great.

That's it. Constant, strong effort. Don't give up - don't work in short spurts. Two hands, one pulling the muffler, one holding/pushing the rubber holster.

good luck!

try removing the hangers off the car, instead of off the muffler. I found that easier to do.

I'm going to do it again. Just ran out of time. I'm pretty sure I'll get it. Just wanted to know if there was a better way of doing it.

Go to local market, pick up KY. And put it on rubber hanger. It will come off easier than any other spray.
I tried without it, couldn't get it off. i also tried WD40, didn't work well. KY FTW.

Don't try to pull the muffler off the hangers. Instead try to pull the hangers off the car. Pull it side to side. I pulled one side off then just pulled the other way. Took all of 30 seconds.

Ya, there are 3 bolts holding on the hangers. Very easy to take off. 12 mm bolts.

Just unbolt all the hangers instead of trying to pull the mufflers off the rubbers.

Don't remove the hangers. It's just move work involved. Seriously, grab a flathead screwdriver, wedge it into the rubber hanger and spray WD-40 in there. Work the screwdriver around until the inside of the rubber hanger is nice and lubed with WD40. Use the screwdriver to pry the muffler's metal prong out of the rubber hanger. Pull on the muffer too while you're doing it. Like others have said, put some muscle into it. you really gotta pull on that $hit hard! Just remember to use the screwdriver to pry the rubber hanger off the muffler though. You're not going to get anywhere by just tugging on the muffler...

If you have a cordless impact, its a lot easier to remove the hangers.

It only took me 5 min to take the muffler off.

Thanks, I'll try this first.. I spray break cleaner on the other two and it came right off. The others are just in a tight space.

what is break cleaner, is it something special for when you break something, who makes it ?

KY will work great, get the warming spray (us it with her later) and like mentioned pry the hole open enough to get a good spray of it in there. The muffler removal is a PITA, typical nancy boys give up and go back to playing nintendo.

Thanks for the help. I was able to remove it with WD-40 and a screwdriver. Took me about 30 minutes to do everything. Exhaust sounds great...
