Default Borla TD drone

i just got it installed along with Berk HFC, and at a certain rpm (1.6k-1.7k and 2.3k-2.4k) i get the drone.

is there a fix available for this? or am i going to have to live with it? or end up removing it .

thnx

Test pipes or HFC you still removed the stock cats. Even still i heard Borlas tend to be raspy even with the stock cats. Read this my friend.

I have a very slight bit of drone at 1.5k-1.7k like you mention, but none anywhere else and I have a Borla TD with Ultimate Racing HFCs. But my Borla also does have the Magnaflow X-Pipe, which did quiet it a bit.

i asked borla about this, and a block replied saying he stocks an item called "Venturi". it gets tac welded somewhere on the exhaust to change the rasp sound.

anyone knows about this? he's asking $24.99 without shipping.

No IMHO, it's nothing like that.

These little things are just welded into the pipe. Doesn't allow the exhaust to X over at all.

I don't know about the Z but my last car had an unbelievably annoying drone, I ended up buying a Magnaflow 11216 muffler and having it welded in where the resonator was- reduced at least 90% of the drone. I haven't looked at underneath the Z so I don't know if this specific muffler would work but you could most likely find another that will, well worth it IMO- I know what it's like to drive long distances with drone. Btw, the muffler will elimate drone but not rasp, if you're looking to eliminate rasp a quality hi-flow cat would be best.
