Default Do CAI make a different sound?

I know this may seem like a newbie question, but when you install an ingen or nismo CAI, will your car sound any different? If so, what is the difference? (deeper sound, rumbling, etc etc)

yeah it sounds a bit deeper. It has a nice roar to it. You can either get the K&N intake it or the Injen CAI. Both are good brands but I would love NISMO

Truth be told, don't buy the intake for the sound. It's noticable, but not so much to warrant the price. They do look outstanding though, and they may make you a little power. I have AEM, which is similar to NISMO, but I think I would recommend you get Injen.

Good luck.

Cool CAI

Had a NISMO CAI installed. Took decibel meter readings before and after. The needle barely changed numbers.

Noticed more pull at around 3500-4000 and up.

Later, with the wife in the car, she asked why the car sounded louder. Go figure!
