Default tanabe y pipe question

does it allow the lower rear brace to be retained? i have the intense power y pipe and it doesn't allow the brace to be there.
any proven gains with the pipe?
pics anyone?
thanks

I have the tanabe Y pipe. I noticed a small gain above 4000 rpm.I have no dyno proof. I don't believe it has a brace.

when you installed the y-pipe. did you still have the lower rear factory brace installed?

yes it does retain the brace and you don't have to remove it for installation.

With a great proven Y pipe like motordyne on the market. Why would anyone bother looking at some other brand.

No the rear brace doesn not need to be removed, yes mine rubbed the brace from time to time Tanabe (buzz, buzz ) yes my car made more power with motordyne, and the motordyne doesn't come close to rubbing.

Default JIC??

i don't want any rubbing so motordyne will be out of the question now. that's the reason i'm looking for a new y pipe now. the intense power y pipe i just got is making my exhaust rub.
any JIC fans? quality looks good and it looks like it fit with no problems.

What lower brace are you having a problem with?

My car has the Tanabe Hyper Med Touring with Y pipe on it , after dealing with the y pipe cracking , and buzzing like hell on the brace i swapped out to the Motordyne Shockwave with the XYZpipe. Now i have the Motordyne single Gamma with the XYZpipe and couldn't be happier.

My cars dyno is the first on on his site listed under the Shockwave, with the quality, fitment, power of Motordyne
i don't know why anyone would buy something else.
