Default anybody has HKS True Dual dyno test?

HI guys i've been thinking of replacing my Greddy Sp2 with the HKS TD.

Some say the HKS TD system gives a good HP gain of around 10whp some say it's almost nothing but looks and sound. Not sure whatever's true but i need to see figures before i throw some more cash into the moneypit

btw. i tried searching the forums but it's either i suck at researching or it's never been discussed yet?

need your guidance pls

thanks!

Well I don't have before & after dynos but after I swap mine on I felt the difference even before the tune. Especially after 4K rpm. I wouldn't say substaintial difference but definitely enough to feel it. After the Osiri tune is when it starts to become alive HKS is a good exhust, great looking and great sound. You won't regret having it.

Do notice the huge amout of noise increase. I heard Greddy is considered much quieter exhaust compared to HKS... so if you don't like loud, HKS is not for you

Have fun

if butt dyno can detect the increase in hp then that's good news.

but the thing is since you mentioned that it's too loud then im gonna have to think twice now. cops in my area get so excited with loud exhaust.

Personally, I think HKS is pretty quiet. After I installed mine, I was a bit dissapointed cuz I thought it was going to be a lot louder. Fixed that by adding HFC's a couple months later

Forgot to mention one thing, I had Berk HFC already installed before I had the HKS. So I think mine is louder to begin with

You might wanna do what I did, write up a request with the 350z forum to ask a local cool guy who has a HKS to meet up with you and just show you what is like. that is what I did and made me sure this is the exhaust for me.

You be suprised how many cool people is on this forum willing to drive a couple miles to meet you and share with you this information.

Good luck!

low sound and subtle at low rpms opens up loudly after 4k rpms. Looks awesome too! I love it.
I was hard to choose between this exhaust and the nismo-at least for me. I made the right choice

Honestly, with my own research of about a year on these boards; all bolt-on breather mods for an NA Z are all quite minimal and generally speaking all aftermarket exhausts gain about 10whp (give or take). You should use looks and sound as the main determining factor.

Which in this case, (and no offense to any HKS owners) it just sounds like a super high pitched 4-cylinder honda that rasps from mid range rpms to redline imho. But unless thats what you're into then go for it
