Injen exhaust V.S. Borla True Exhaust
Hey guys, i need some help picking an exhaust system. Both the Injen and Borla are true dual exhaust, and make nearly the same power, but the Injen prevails. I want something that sounds a little different than stock, and adds real noticeable horsepower. Does anyone have any experience with them. They also cost the same price. I also have an Injen intake, would that help with the exhaust?

i dont think the intake exhaust combo matters..in reality the intake is more for looks than it is for performance
i am getting an injen exhaust on my car this week..along with the injen intake...i heard an injen exhaust in person and thats why i wanted to buy it...i never heard the borla but the word is that it doesnt sound that much different than stock

the injen is louder. as the borla is just a little louder than stock. as for looks, i'm not a big fan of the exhaust tips on the injen, but then again it does sound really nice.

borla = most hp out of them according to the newest test. Dont' trust the 17 wheel hp that injen got on their dyno, cuz you'll probably get about 7. Performance should be similar. Just go to www.everything350z.com and check out the exhaust clips.

unless you heard the injen in person you cant really call it rice...if you heard it in person and are still calling it rice then i dunno what to say
its loud..thats for sure..and if you want loud then you go injen
it doesnt sound like a fart can at all...its just louder than all the other cars on the road so maybe thats considered rice in itself
anyhow..im getting my injen ses installed thursday

i would consider the injen louder and raspier (if thats a word) than stock. and the borla has a deeper tone (some say muscle car-ish) and its definetly louder than stock, but not as loud as the injen. it really depends on what sound your looking for, and of course the performance #s go to the borla (as proved in sportZ magazine).

I'm pretty sure the Apex N1 produces about the same horsepower. Also it looks better than Injen and Borla together.
The only matter is that the N1 systems are quite loud.

horsepower
What is funny for me is that people worry about horsepower like:
this one makes 8 horsepower but the other one makes 9!!!
In stock outfit all systems seem to produce under 10 hp which is not even 5%. This might be different with sport cats and cams.
I'd consider to go with an exhaust that looks nice or sounds good.
My 1st goal is weight reduction so I might save for full titanium. For sure no Stillen for me!

I have Injen installed... Sounds and looks fantastic... I still get complements from my dealer everytime I go there and from someone at least 4 times a week at a gas station, etc... I have heard Bola and Injen side by side and everyone liked Injen over Borla. Injen sounds more muscular. at 3500 RPM, it screams with low growling tone. I LOVE THIS FREAKIN SOUND. It makes me wanna go faster and rev a little harder everytime I drive.... I promise, you won't be dissapointed!

according to those sound clips, I must say I like the Fujitsobo, and the Injen. Though I must admit from all the reports I thought I wouldnt like either, that they would be too loud. I do like the Nismo sound, but stainless seems a better option for the Northeast. I dont want to have to buy a $1000 exhaust every 3 years!

ok thanks guys, ill be going with the Injen, but just one more question. I have a kaminari rear skirt installed on the rear, would it still fit without modification of my rear skirt?

because if im not mistaken the kaminari rear is made of urethane and it would melt if the exhaust tips were too close
thats why DAKING is selling his injen ses to me...cause he has a Ings rear skirt and it was warping the urethane

I have to worry about weight and size becuase shipping big things to germany is a tragedy.
