I would think around $100 or less.. But like z04 said, only way to find out for sure is start calling around.. Prices are different everywhere.

Yea, just for reference. I paid $35 to have 3" pipe welded from my y-pipe back to my nismo muffler..

ur gonna weld 3" pipe from cat back? wow ur gonna lose a lot of power. I hope u mean from ur y pipe back!! There is a R&D that goes into y pipes and the design does matter if this makes sense. lol 9 drinks in at the bar posting from iphone

Yup, Black has a great point. No point in using 3" piping if you aren't utilizing a Y pipe.

I can still remember the day I got my single Welcome to the club!

Has anyone done a 3” pipe from the “Y” to the stock muffler? I’m just entertaining the idea and wondered if there would be a gain in sound or even power.

Thanks,

make sure it is all mandrel bent and they do not crush bend any of the pipe as it will shirk the diameter of the piping. Most muffler shops do not have the ability to mandrel bend the pipes them selves, so they will cut and weld different sections of pre mandrel bent piping together to get the desired shape.

This will cost you significantly more money, but will yield the best results.

Thanks,
i guess it would b the same as Nismo since its 3" piping. Idk though im sure the stock muffler is more restrictive

That’s my impression too; the muffler being more restrictive I’d like to get a little more bark from the Z and if there is some go too then great. The cost benefit to a full exhaust just doesn't do it for me so I’m trying to find an alternative. At the same time I’m not willing to pay for a sub-par exhaust from “da-bay”; looking for that middle ground. Creating a straight pipe from “Y” to the muffler came to mind but its still early days yet.
