Well, $479 is to much for that replica because I got mine for about $100 cheaper, and I wouldn't call Megan much better.

Stay stock until you can pick up a better exhaust. Or, try to find a decent used piece in the same price range as the megan or XO2 (presumably this is the HKS knockoff you're referring to?).

 

The price for the X02 is ridiculous. I got mine brand new for $260 picked up.

For that price, try to look for a used Nismo.

Please be honest with yourself. You would never buy an exhaust just based on how someone on the INTERNET tells you it sounds. So please don't ask. If you want to hear how an exhaust sounds, you have a couple of options. You can go to a local MEET where people have different exhaust setups, or you can try to find SOUND CLIPS online. They are out there, but you must search for them.

if thats your price range then I say niether, I highly recommend mufasso elite plus 1000 exhaust for the Z. It has reinforced magnetic mandrel bends, resonated through chamber compression funneling. plus most of it is made of titianium composite steel for sturdyness. Its actually the only exhaust that has a dyno proven more than 20rwhp and tq all for about $500. www.mufasso.com

Could i do a custom exhaust. I was thinking Megan Y pipe, then custom 3" piping down the middle, then angle out like a Y with Megan M-Spec 2 mufflers.

Is that possible exhaust shop can do? Will it sounds good? Notice performance on setup like that?
