Package Dyno:
We have dynos showing low, peak, and high power ranges of yesterdays dyno.
We are very impressed with the power we made down low. So now we have the whole package. High, low, and mid. You can still credit the plenum for the high end and the headers, cats, and exhaust are contributing to the low end.
Basic break down:
@3800 RPM
17.2 ft-lbs TQ
12.6 HP
@ Peak
9.1 ft-lbs TQ
20HP
@6500 RPM
19.3 ft-lbs TQ
23.7 HP
For comparison this is the dyno plot from the stock run and just the plenum. Sorry we forgot to plot this with one of the new runs.
There will be a package deal for plenum, cats, strut bar and headers. The price has been set at $2350. $2150 without the strut bar. Headers alone are $1300.
Ask questions, but we may not get back to you until tomorrow. Time for a night off.

Looks like the first two dynos are the same except for that line between 3.5 and 4k. Max power was 256.7 hp for the headers and the rest. The 3rd dyno looks like the plenum and the rest at 245.8 hp.
So, 256.7 hp - 245.8 hp = 10.9 hp. The headers gave max power of 11 hp. Is this correct?

And yes it will help the gains be even greater by evening out the mixture.

It states the first dynos are with the entire package: plenum, headers, cats, and Borla compared to stock.
I think the point is to notice how even the gains are accross the power band as opposed to just the plenum where the gains are up top only.

Plus, we all know 5HP fron an intake + 11 from a set of header + 10 from an exhuast doesn't add up to 26 HP when used in conjunction. I'm sure we all would have been more impressed with a dyno of the headers alone compared to stock.

The gains shown on this dyno with the Plenum + Headers + cats and borla look very similar to the Gains that Tommy Kaira got with their Individual throttlebodies + headers + exhaust + ECU. They got only 24 PS up from those mods with an ECU, but with running cats. So its seems that unless you start running cams your not going to get magical FI type gains. Something to feel better about is that the M3 guys have to spend more than 8 Grand to get these types of gains, and they can't just slap on a procharger to make easy gains.

Not really... Look where horsepower was ADDED.
The plenum took care of TOP end power, now let's make more down low - and introduce torque across the board. The focus here was improving the powerband! There are ZERO mods that improve torque like these headers are doing. PERIOD.
For THAT it's worth it.

Hell... if you want just peak numbers... you might want a different set of parts. You want POWER, you might want to consider laughing again.
