Default Prepping a MREV2 prior to install

Just got my used MREV2 for my 06 Z in the mail. I've read that it should be clean and spotless of any grease, oil, dirt and dust. I was thinking about cleaning it with Dawn soap or WD40.. Any suggestions. Thank you for your help.

i just wiped mine down with some heavy duty (read: wal-mart brand) paper towels. made sure it was clean and dropped 'er in. no prep needed. my Z pulls through 4k+ like a damn freight train enjoy!

When I got mine, I just used some Brake cleaner to clean it up.
