Default High Flow Cats

Hello all, this is my first post. I did a search but didn't see anything jump out at me on the first 2 pgs of results.

Berk Technology or Random Technology High Flow Cats? Or some other brand I haven't heard of yet? So far Random Tech. is winning because they are cheaper and they've been around longer. I wanted Random Tech. HFC's for my '98 Civic.

I have a 2006 Daytona Blue Roadster I bought about a month ago. So far I've put on an AEM CAI and DC Sports 3 into 1 headers.

The car came with a Borla exhaust on it, which I want to swap out for a Greddy EVO2 or Agency Power. Any opinions on either?

I have had the Berk HFC on my Z for over 2 years with the HKS hi power and love them. HFC will sound good with the EVO2 exhaust. Listen to clips on youtube.

do the berk hfc work well with the o2 sensors? mainly, will these cats throw a code? secondly, which of the hfc's sound the most like a louder version of the stock exhaust?

I've read good reviews of the Berks, no one complained of any codes or engine lights.

Good reviews on the berks , There is no trouble for codes on the Z, If you do have one, they can be fixed with an o2 extender.

I've made my mind up, going with the Berks after reading good reviews and listening to YouTube sound clips. Just gotta build my cash flow back up first. I am waiting on a front lip and eyelids in the mail and placed an order last night to GrillCraft...and then there's the money I'm going to have to pay the body shop to paint and install.

I've had Berks on mine for about a year, and like them a lot, but they do trip my SES light. Oh well....I can live with it, and have.

Do you have to change gaskets EVERYTIME you take the exhaust apart?

If this is the case, then I have to wait until I build up the cash to buy my Berks, HR Y-Pipe, and Agency Power exhaust at the same time.

If this is not the case, I'm ordering my Berks tonight.

Someone please give me hand! I'll come back and check this before I go to bed. Off to play CoD:MW2

I'd just check them every time to see what shape they are in. You should be ok. Besides, most exhaust systems come with gaskets too.

Had the Berks installed last Friday. Got to enjoy the sound on my trip to and from Ocean City, MD for Memorial Day weekend.

Can't say that I notice a power increase, but I definitely hear the difference. I have a deeper and more audible exhaust note at idle and up to about 3k rpm. I definitely hear a meaner growl when I step on it.
