QUESTION: I'm getting my Berk HFC's put on next week. They only came with header/cat gaskets. No clue the state of the cat/exhaust gasket. Car had Borla TC on it when I bought it. If the cat/exhaust gasket is shot, will it be okay for one month? Stillen Y-Pipe on it's way in the mail. Haven't ordered Greddy Ti-C yet.
So, the gaskets from the headers to the hfcs are used/ blown and you're asking if it will be ok to install them until you get replacements?
No. Headers got new gaskets when they were put on. The Berks come with new gaskets where they attach to the headers but not where they attach to the exhaust. This is where I'm worried about.

Most companies supply the cheap gaskets, anyway. If the gaskets from the hfcs to the y pipe aren't up to par, then you'll have to replace them. I'd say to do yourself a favor and order oems from the dealers. I think the ones you want are like 9 bucks a piece.
What did ur installer say when u ask him this question?
Nothing yet, just curious. He won't see the car until next Tuesday. I asked him if he would do it over the phone. Didn't realize the lack of gaskets until opening the box after calling to schedule the appt.
Thanks for everyone's help and input during the months I debated which one to get. Just had my Stillen Y-Pipe and Greddy Ti-C installed today. Exactly the look and sound I was going for, very happy with my decision.
WOW! What a difference. It's probably 50% louder. Annoyed the hell out of my younger sister. Definitely putting the silencer back in next time I know my Mom or gf will be riding with me. Surprisingly still bearable at highway speeds, but remarkably louder while rowing through the gears from a standing start, even when shifting at 3k rpm.
