Default Test Pipe

I want a nice clean sounding test pipe, minimal raspiness, and a good price.

Suggestions?

Welcome. Test pipes make no noise. They are just an empty pipe. For $100 you get junk. For $200 you get quality and reliability.

Plenty of recommendations here. Read. Learn.

look into motordyne art pipes depending on your budget, seems to be the next best thing and keeps noise down...or a resonated test pipe

I've gone through straight tps, flex resonated tps and now hfcs. I'm gonna try the Fast Intentions resonated hfcs.

Maybe two months. I mean 60 bucks and all I had to do was weld on a wideband bung. So 60 dollars and 5 minutes of my time. There just test pipes. I do not see why people insist on paying such crazy prices for test pipes. I personally like the way it made the car sound. It's not loud at all.

We all have different set ups. TPs with aftermarket headers, y pipe and single exit exhuast were too loud and I got tired of gettin' 3 tickets a month.

I have both the motordyne A.R.T. pipes and the e-bay resonated test pipes. The ART pipes make much better HP and TQ and are MUCH quieter with no rasp like the e-bays. Take a look at the power increase with ART pipes over the resonated ebay pipes. The thread is a few below this one called "Art pipes / Test pipes dyno comparison"

Ps: My resonated test pipes are available for $ 50

If you want test pipes without the rasp and crazy volume, you're only choice is the ART pipes from MotorDyne Engineering. There are much cheaper options out there for regular test pipes, but they won't solve your other concern.
