..... search, search, search!!!

But to answer, yes, if you fail to utilize your O2 sensers the CEL will come on.
You can go with Hi-Flow cats that usually have a fitting for the sensers, unlike test pipes!!!

Err, test pipes usually have fittings for the sensors...

It's been done by everyone and their mothers, that's why they're telling you to search. I don't even own a Z and I know the answer

okay i checked on berk test pipes and from what they said and i called them, they said its a 50/50 chance the CEL will come on and if it dose come on put o2 extenders on to back off the o2 from the pipe.

what yall think about all that? how could moving the o2 back out about a inch from the pipe make a difference.

Study the factory manual. Look at the relationship between Oxygen sensor #2 and OBDII.

Oxygen sensor #2 is an electronic device. It has a positive and negative connector. Electricity flows positive to negative.

The sensor is looking for particulates (such as carbon). Lots of particulates and electricity flows unimpeded. Few particulates (just air) and electricity flows poorly.

Moving the sensor OUT of the air stream ensures that electricity flows poorly.
