Default Is this urgent to fix? Suggestions?

Hello,

I have a 2004 350z Enthusiast

The section of pipe, that goes between the muffler and the flange that attaches to the mid-pipe has a hole.

First, is this somthing I can go without fixing for a few months? Will it damage anything? It sounds horrible but I can live with it for a while...maybe.

Second, can anyone recommend a replacement axle-back solution? By this I mean replacing everything rear of the mid-pipe. Is this a bad idea? Should I just bite the bullet and shell out $1400 for the Nismo catback setup?

Thanks!

post a pick of that "hole" u could probably weld it shut to hold u off, but u can also pick up a nismo exhaust for around 500 used. i got mine for 350 with no damage and still shiny!

heck. I'd sell ya my stock exhaust for 300. Nothing wrong with it at all.

And you can weld the hole shut. Just make sure they are quality welds.

My concern is that if I just replace muffler everything rear of it, that the mid-pipe might soon have the same issue, anyone have any experience?

Thanks!

huh? same issue?

a hole?

uh, if you bought an exhaust it would be a y-pipe, mid-pipe, and muffler.

and there shouldn't be an issue with getting holes in your exhaust. I'm suprised you have one to begin with. Bottoming out much?

Besides dying from carbon dioxide you should be OK.

350junkie, I have seen a few aftermarket examples of the muffler being sold by itself. So I would save money in not buying the y-pipe and mid-pipe. I apologize for my poor wording.
