Default Will HR Y-pipe fit Nismo Exhaust?

Hey I am about to buy a Nismo Exhaust. It doesnt include the Y pipe, so I'm wondering if the HR Y-pipe will fit. Or anyone has any personal review on a Megan Racing Y Pipe/and or it's use with a Nismo Catback Exhaust.

Thanks,
Bob Ruggiero

No, I remember reading up somewhere that the Nismo S tune exhaust will only mate with its own Y pipe, no other Y-pipes will work.

Where did you read that and why would that be the case haha? Seems to bolt up just like any other exhaust.

Man o man, somewhere in the vast ocean lol. Hmm.. now that i rethought about it, it might've been the midpipe that's not able to match the Nismo muffler because of the location. Either way, don't count on my words yet though until someone else chimes in

Yes the HR Y-pipe should fit. If you have an 03-06 you will need to removed 2 black plastic guard things, if you get under the car it will make sense. Or you could always search because there is a thread dedicated to the HR Y-pipe.

people should stop spreading mis information about the nismo y pipe being needed to fit only...the nismo y pipe is junk and causes cracking issues down the road...the best y pipe u can buy is a motordyne xyz...any y pipe will be fine as far as fitment but get a good one if ur gonna do it...

Tanabe/JIC/Motordyne. Get one that matches the diameter of the nismo B pipe.
