Default installed popcharger

i installed my JWT popcharger 2 days ago and it's awesome. My butt dyno says i've gained 2 HP Well i don't care cause it sounds like a beast now
But one thing that kinda gets in my vain is that i hear whistle sound
Whenever i upshift, right when i let go of the clutch with little bit of throttle, i hear whistle from the pop charger. Man, i feel like i installed the whistle blow off or whatever that i tried it out on my previous car very umbarrasing.
Do all the popcharger owners have this sound?

yes they all have it, most people actually love that sound. Just learn to like it, its not really that loud from outside the car.

It's a cool little intake you just need to watch out to not over-oil it when it needs to be cleaned.

Does the filter collect oil?

No, you need to re-oil the filter after a few months of use once it gets dirty. There's a cleaning kit by K&N or you can just buy the oil itself which comes in an aerosol can. So after you clean the filter, just spray a light coat of oil directly onto the filter. Here's what the can looks like

I also like the whistling sound. I wish I was boosted so I could hear a different 'whistling' sound

It only happens at certain RPMS....keep your foot floored and you shouldn't be able to hear it

I'd really like to get this as well. One question, do you have to worry about hydro-locking with the open filter design? I'm driving a 2004 performance edition and no mods have been done to it so I can't see water getting anywhere near the cone but still valid question I guess

ReUhssurance, with the pop charger unless you drive your car into a lake you won't get hydrolock!
