Default Agency power Single with???

Hey guys,

I wanted to know what kind of y pipe you guys are using with the agency power single. I watched a couple youtube vids, and the exhaust doesnt seem that loud, or as loud as my car when I had it with a random y pipe. The y pipe I had did not have sound deadening or anything like the stock y pipe. Totally non restrictive, and I feel like that was the reason the exhaust was soooo loud and had mad drone. So for those who are still using the agency power exhaust, what y pipe do you have and do you have bad drone? I know I took this exhaust off after a few days because of drone and it was to loud, but I can't help but want to put it back on. The sound is just amazing. If it was a little quieter I would put it back on, so wondering if I just change the y pipe, it would be quieter. Thinking of either the stock y pipe, since its restrictive im sure it wont be as loud, or try to fabricate a 2.5 inch midpipe instead of the 3 inch, to reduce volume/flow. Please let me know, as I applaud those who dd their z with this exhaust. I love the sound, just want it quieter without the silencer. Thanks.

Any y-pipe with a 3" collector to mate with is fine. It is loud because it is meant to be. It drones because there is no resonator. You need the Motordyne XYZ pipe with resonator if you want it to be quieter. That is all.

^^ The y pipe I had it with was a 2.5 inch, and it still worked fine. Just wondering if the stock y pipe would kill the sound a little. And I disagree with you on the motordyne y pipe quieting down the sound. I asked motordyne themself, and they said the motordyne y pipe with resontor AND their 3 inch mid pipe with resonator would do nothing to kill the sound.

Cool, but I can almost guarantee you a resonator in there somewhere will kill that drone somewhat. You asked for advice and that's all I have to contribute take it how you wish. Any 2.5-3" y-pipe will be fine and isn't going to change the flow or sound much if any. You need either a silencer for the muffler or a resonator somewhere in the flow to deaden the drone.

Do a search someone made a custom ypipe with a cut up nismo ypipe, and a magnaflow 2 in 1 out muffler. if you search you might can find who it was.
