This will sound very stupid to ppl who doesn't care about their MPG because they drive 350z. Well, i'm interested in plenum spacer for HP gain. Will this product lead me to have less MPG? I'm guessing it will because it stores more air and fuel for HP GAIN.
People who have this spacer, did you notice the MPG dropping?

1) It's a sports car. It runs on premium fuel. It is expensive to maintain. If you're concerned about MPG, this is not the car for you.
2) If you're buying performance parts, you can count on your MPG dropping because everytime you take advantage of those power add-ons, you're probably at or near full throttle. That by definition is going to lower your gas mileage.
3) There will be no measurable difference in MPG from the addition of a spacer. Your MPG may change because of the way you drive it (see note #2). The plenum doesn't store air, it directs it from the intake tube/throttle body into each of the cylinders. The spacer only increases the efficency of the air flow, allowing more air to the front cylinders so they will run leaner and bump your HP a little. The engine won't know air is flowing any better, it will still be injecting the same amount of fuel.

my Z is my daily, and i calculate my MPG every week that i fill up.. I added the kinetix plenum and noticed no difference.. It all depends on how you drive and where you drive(city or highway).. If i had to take a guess, i would say a tiny increase.
Then you have it right - bolt-ons give you a little more HP when you need it (top end) but don't really have much affect on MPG at the low end where you do the majority of your driving.

If you want to improve your MPG, change your differential, tranny, and engine oil to full synthetic. I always ran Amsoil in my engine but I gained just under 2 MPG after changing my OEM diff and tranny fluids to Amsoil Synthetic.
you should seriously get your car checked out then because you shouldn't be anywhere near that low unless you always go WOT or red line it all the time. I drive pretty conservatively and push my car fairly often and i sit around 20 MPG give or take a few.
I saw no change from MREV2 and 5/16th spacer. I have every bolt on and average 19 city when I am lead footed/22 not and 24 leadfoot/32 highway.
The real difference maker is my driving.

i get 20ish mpg when i don't reset guage, but avg about 17ish when i do.
