what exhaust is this?
I want an exhaust that sounds like the one on this youtube clip. Can you guys help me out with what it might be? I want a "high pitch" sounding exhaust. Right now i have the good ole stock.

Do yourself a favor and do not rely on the sound from a you tube clip. Go out and listen to the real thing. Go to some car gatherings/meets, whatever to see/hear in person. You tube audio files suck and trying to judge a exhaust system's sound from one is ridiculous.
and all I'm saying is that listening to audio files on you tube, trying to determine if you like an exhaust sound or not, is a waste of time - but then again, its your time, not mine, so go for it. Good luck on your exhaust decision.

BTW this is one hell of a driver!
straight pipe lol, i had one sounded just like that its ridiculously loud, if you want it I'll sell it to you for 150$ plus shipping.
on a side note, the evo driver would have pissed me off if i was the guy int he Z had so many chances to over take him and the evo kept doing dirty blocks

you can really tell in the clip who is the better driver, and who just has a large turbo. that evo is all over the track, looks like the driver is having a really hard time on those corners, odd considering the awd...
A lot of very out of touch people in here.....the evo is Marty G. Who won the Northeast T2 championship in 2008. The 350Z is driven by Brian Kleeman. Both compete (or did) at the National Championship level in SCCA. The Evo's are more restricted on tires sizes, weight, and must use a smallish inlet restrictor. The 350z's tend to be competitive on tighter courses like Lime Rock, but the evo's and solstices are much quicker on larger tracks like Road America (where the run-offs are held). T2 is highly restrictive in mods that can be done. My guess is it is a nismo exhaust with test-pipes, and the reason it is so loud is the car is gutted down to metal and a seat (with a cage and ballast to make weight).

So, 03, are you saying he's swerving all over like that in the corners because of his tires? Or is this just his breaking "technique?" I'm not at all a track guy, nor do I spend much time researching Evos. The car clearly pulls well on the straight away, but it really seems like he's struggling to make the curves, such as at :44, 1:00, 1:39, and 2:40 notably- where he cuts across the entire track and hits the dirt (it seems.) I'd just give an AWD car a little more credit than that, especially a rally favorite like the EVO. In contrast, the Z driver doesn't seem to be having the same problems on the curves, and doesn't bomb out into the dirt like the EVO, taking the lead at that moment. I mean, I'll give "Marty G." some credit by using those corners to his advantage in blocking, but I've got to give "Brian" more credit for patiently keeping his car in control until the EVO goofed, and then made his move. Makes him the better driver in my eyes. Two cents, no big deal.

It's a custom-made straight pipe. No mufflers, no cats and it was LOUD.
We've since welded a muffler into it because we were over the sound limit at some tracks - highest they got us was 106 db at Road America. I would not recommend for street use.
BTW - that car is for sale
