Default Differing Exhaust HP Gains?

So after scanning throughout forums, searching, and listening to sound clips I have it narrowed down to 4 exhaust companies (but am open to other suggestions):

1. Borla
2. Fujitsubo
3. Nismo
4. HKS

(In no particular order)
I have noticed that the exhausts that sound closest to stock have the larger muffler canister(like the stock exhaust), and louder, raspier ones do not. Does this affect their hp gains or are they all similar like the threads I read have stated?
Also, I plan to purchase resonated test pipes and a Pop Charger to go along with my exhaust

Just search, all will be close, but 2 of them will have a couple more HP.

If your looking for gains, also consider the Motordyne.

Really you arent going to see huge gains from any of them, I would pick what you think looks best and sounds best. Picking one exhaust over another because it could get you 3 more HP than the other isnt worth it IMO.

You're never going to see any real gains unless you add the intake, then get a tune also...

I agree with picking the one that you like the most, performance wise there's very little to suggest any differences between them. Afterall anything from 1-5 hp can easily be marked up to the dyno's own variation. I've done a fews dyno runs on different dynos and have yet to see the runs match up within 1-2 hp in the same few minutes, even without a change being performed.

Check out the tanabe exhaust.. I believe last time i saw them tested on the 350z they did a dyno run.

http://www.tanabe-usa.com/rnd/catego...n-350Z-HR.aspx

I like the hks true dual's appearance best but I'm not sure how I like the sound.

I don't know why they didn't fix that. Many different options for HKS to try, but I guess it wasn't worth spending too much money on R&D after the clones came out.

True. I'm not a huge fan of the big muffler canister deal, like on the stock setup, but systems with that look seem to sound the best IMO. But that is probably since I love the stock exhaust note so much, and a meaner version seems so appealing. But the HKS has a really cool look to it with the...well I honestly am not sure what they are. The canister thing on the side of each pipe.

Thank you for the input, but I did search. Not only did I search the forums, I googled it and compared exhaust notes on youtube. I know most exhaust systems yield comparable gains, I was just making sure there wasn't a black sheep among them that didn't perform as well as the others. Thank YOU for beating a dead horse by replying to a question with "search"

Yeah, people do beat the search thing into the ground, especially considering the search function doesn't filter that well. But at the same time if everyone opened a thread the forum would be a mess.

Good deal. Just to give you an idea of what the results will be like, I gained 24 or 26whp(can't remember) and 22 lbs of torque. Exhaust, intake, plenum spacer, and tune...

I have an HKS true dual exhaust~ It's not too loud really....I'd say a bit more than stock and there is little to almost no rasps~ Quite solid IMO and a gd over all exhaust~
