Default Help with new exhaust choice (sound level / volume)

Ok so I've been listening to a lot of exhausts on YT but vids will never do justice. I'm looking to get a new exhaust but I don't want something that is obnoxiously loud so I'm looking for something that isn't too loud (something not to get CA pd attention)

So I've broken down my choices but I don't know how these actually sounds in person, so if anyone can chime in, could you guys rate how each of these sound (volume wise) with 1 being the most quiet/close to stock to 10 being loud. (or sort these from quiet to loud)

Greddy Evo 2
Nismo S-Tune
Fujitsubo Legalis R
(seems to be the most quiet, your thoughts)
Exotic Speed R1 -> has option to add silencer (not lots of videos but looks damn good)
Borla

Has anyone (specifically norcal peeps) ever got pulled over for having any of these systems? With stock cats.

TIA

I recently installed the greddy evo2 exhaust (rest of car is stock) and I think it sounds like pure sex. I'm not into super loud or raspy exhausts either and this one is definitely neither of those. Make sure if you buy a used one to get the evap canister relocation bracket from the seller. its a very simple relocation, but without if you wont be able to mount the axleback section of the passenger side exhaust. good luck!

<--Motordyne TDX2 fanboy here. But it's way loud especially with the ART pipes. I set off car alarms all the time, so that may be out of question for you

The S-Tune and Legalis R are the same exhaust, just badged differently. I've got the S-Tune on my '08 (OEM cats). Nice and quiet at idle or at constant cruising, but deep, throaty and loud at wide-open throttle. For me, it's the perfect combination. It also fits perfectly, looks nice, and is very well-constructed.

I started with The Top Speed Pro-1 (really loud), but the drone eventually started to bother me. I then went with the Borla TD and I love it. The sound is just a bit more aggresive than stock and I'm sure my neighbors appreciate it since I leave for work at about 3:30 in the morning.

the evo2 just sounds too much like a honda imo. the nismo & legalis are a little louder deeper and more throaty than stock and the vq sound is perfect. im fixin to get the nismo myself in feb.

as long as you keep the stock cats all the exhausts you listed will not be loud at all. I'll go with Nismo if i were you tho.

Once you go with test pipes or even HFC all of those will be loud

You might get nailed for something else, but I can't imagine any problems with the S-Tune exhaust.

For what it's worth, here is my Fujitsubo Legalis-R review. Some vids at the bottom. I am actually considering selling it...

Be patient. One of our sponsors will soon be here with the best exhaust. Prices too low to mention.

CA Cops are going to find a reason to pull you over so might as well get a nice exhaust

PM Me if you'd like a quote on an Agency Power Exhaust

^ love that agency.

But if sound level is your main big concern then just stick with the nismo or fujitsubo. And as Toby stated, once you add highflow cats, test pipes, or headers then your exhaust will become much louder but don't worry it won't sound like a honda fartcan.

If you're looking for a fairly quiet exhaust, I'm surprised you didn't include Tanabe as one of your choices. They're known for being deep but not loud at the same time. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/touringmedalion.asp?id=7
