I have a deal in the process for a STILLEN 350Z Dual Exhaust Systems. The guy wants $500 and it has 5000 miles on it. He had a lease and turned it in and now has this exhuast to sell. I know its $1200 on the site. What I need to know is.....is there anything I need to know about or should look for? I just want some input on it. Being new to the Z world You guys and girls would know more about this.....any info or advice would be great!

 

If he has all the hardware and the tone is what you're looking for, go for it. 5000 miles is very low in my opinion, and 500 is pretty good deal!

 

Thats the kind of opinion i am looking for. I jump on things sometimes too fast and regret later. Thats why I am listening to advice before I jump.

 

Great deal, i would buy it to make some cash off it if i was local.

 

What you are looking for is:

a. Broken or cracked supports.
b. Dings, bends, dents.

I assume you will needs new gaskets later.

 

That's a good deal. I've enjoyed my Stillen 2.5" TD for almost 6 years and have a buyer for a similar price
Even with 2.5" test pipes, it sounded nice with no rasp.
I'll be going with the GTM system now.

BTW... you interested in 2.5" AAM test pipes?

Make sure the welds aren't cracked and the condition is good. If it is, buy it!!! It's a good deal for 500 cash. It's local, right?

 

this is what i look 4 in buying used exhaust. I could care less about mileage. for the exception of snowy climates

 

Stein: I believe it is everything, He even has it all in the box when he brought it over to show me.

davidv: I might have to get gasket? I might be able to either use What I have on my Z it only has 35,000 on it. I will figure it out as I take it off to put it on. It is dusty it will need to be cleaned up. There is one small ding on top of one of the mufflers. The good thing its the plart on top near the car so it wont be seen.

Weslutes:I just might be interested in those test pipes. Im getting my NOS kit this weekend. So that will be all the wifey will let me spend this week. NOW, NEXT WEEKEND.....we'll See if you still have them

nogoodname007: Yes, its local....its a friend of a friend that leased a Z and now turned it in. Just down the road....Funny how things and deals are right around you and dont even know it!
