Default Test Pipe without Heatshield?

Is it safe to have test pipes without heat shield? It's currently rattling against the heat shield and if i can't get it to fix i'm just going to take off the heat shield.

For those without heat shields and test pipes, can you please chime in?

It’s safe unless the floor of your car catches on fire.

The converter is what heats up,thats how it works by heat.Test tubes have no restriction to collect and hold the heat from the exhaust.

Take a screwdriver and bend it up a little. It isn't that hard and worked for me.

Do you have test pipes no (catalytic converter) or high flow converters?

Safe thing to do if your worried about it, another way is to use a self tapping screws and tighten up shield, don't tap into the pipe!

Even if you bend it back it could go back to the original position unless its secured with a screw or something. I say just remove it you'll be fine.

Well i just used a hammer and bent the heatshield, no rattles now...

i have art pipes with xyz pipe + hfc. since the converter is the one heating up, would the around around the hfc part of the xyz pipe be really hot? would i need a custom heat shield there?

Sounds like you have it fixed wouldn't worry about it! Since your up north and
its winter time consider it an alternative heat source. Kidding, don't worry about it.
