Jason - why does the max power only read 248 HP while the curve shows over 250?

Yep - you hit the nail on the head! There is no better high flow cat out there, period! Plus, we will be pricing them a bit less than whats currently out there, making it an even more attractive package for people.

We are working with Ultimate on their kit, and as details are out there, we will be passing them on, and then selling the kit once its ready for production.

G3PO,
I installed the RT cats on my car yesterday, bought from Performance Nissan. I LOVE them! They come with a CA CARB card for inside your car with CARB # on it and yes they DO and have passed the sniffer. I highly reccomend them and Jeff/Jason/Jenny. I will definately do business with them again! Best Vendor I have ever used in my life. Shipped 2 hours after ordering and they threw in all the bolts and shims even though they didn't have too. Because torque and rpm are divided by 5252, torque and horsepower are always equal at 5252 rpm. If you solve the equation at 5252 rpm, the rpm value cancels out, leaving horsepower equal to torque. If you plot torque and horsepower curves on a graph, the lines will always cross at 5250 rpm (rounded off). If they don’t, the curve is undoubtedly bogus.

CottonWoddz - think you must be confused someplace. Yes torque and HP should cross at 5252, but it varies depending opn the dyno, the load setting they have (if its programmable), wheels and tires.

In fact, if you look at Jason's graph, they don't cross at 5252 at all - its more like 5700.

My comment was asking why his dyno sheet showed the text that it did. if you look at the old curve (pre high flow cat) it peaked at around 240 ish and torque peaked at 225 - the text at the top says old HP was around 251 ish, and old torque according to the graph never hit 221 ish. The old graphs confirm these numbers as well. However on the new curve (after cats), shows max HP at around 260, and max torque around 250, though the text at the top only say the HP was 248 and torque was 241 - that's waht desn't jive with me - definately behooves Jason to find out whats up with that dyno

And BTW guys, here is some info on the Car Sound cats used in the new high flow cat pipes we'll be offering starting next week -

Im not trying to be a *** or anything. I was just looking at your dyno plot and noticed that your Hp & Tq numbers cross at about 5750 Rpms 500 Rpms higher then where they should.. Im just thinking that the dyno you used that day, wasnt calabrated right or something else was wrong with it.
Sorry again.

Well, being that the power incrased across the board it looks correct. The same little jerks in the lines happen at the same RPM's...

here is Jeff's dyno from seperate days as well...

same thing...
