my understanding is that with the CARB cert... visual inspection consists of matching up the stamp with the cert #. So RT's would in fact pass the visual inspection. No?

just got off the phone with danny @ TSI-
they said the RT cats are making the car go extremely lean for some reason, they really dont know how different they are compared to the straight pipes they made for my car---- they are going to flow bench the RT pipes sometime this week..

What sort of problems does the "extremely lean" condition cause? I was seriously considering the RT Cats and am anxious to hear what Danny and the guys at TS have to say following their bench test.
Anyone out there with the RT cats already installed having any problems due to running "lean"? If so, how did you take care of it?
Thanks

The RT Cats are Carb Legal, but still with any cat it is illigal to change them before 50,000 miles or unless you have some damage to the cat, (which you have because the z rides so low rite?

how would a test pipe not throw a CEL? the after cat 02 sensor would realize there was a problem and throw a light, unless you mod the sensor of course.

well, the high flow cats and Y pipe went in today...just in time for the snow, so no dynos today or tomorrow (as I could not even get my car home today in the snow......had to leave it at a shopping center). Fit and finish was perfect.
Really nice sound though, no performance posts till the roads clear here next week.
