Default T1r exhaust

Hi guys,

I know exhausts have been covered over and over again, but one exhaust I'm interested in is the t1r sparrow. S2000 and alot of Honda drivers love this brand but does anyone know how is the exhaust for the 350z?

Looks nice and priced well too. Not too many sound clips on the net but it sounds decent. What do you all think? Should I go for it or can my money be better spent on something else. Can't really spend much more than $1000 since I'm from
Australia and have to pay for shipping

I'm after an exhaust that's doesn't drone but not quiet either. My friend has a borla, too quiet for my liking, want something not too loud at lower revs but screams as revs get higher. Advice would be much appreciated!

I had the t1r sparrow it was to quiet for me not much louder than stock. I ended up selling it and got the motordyne tdx1 which sounds awesome. A Borla exhaust is louder than the t1r for example.

If your budget isn't very high I'd check out a single exit exhaust or the invidia Gemini.

check out the Bassani TD. Decent amount of clips on you tube you can listen to. It is a little loder than stock low in the rpm. Once you get over about 2500 it screams with no drone in the cabin. If you cant find any good sound clips send me a private message and I can see if I can get a good clip of what you are looking for

Roughly how much is the motordyne? Did your t1r have the y pipe? Would it make it much louder? Or even with hfc?I just love the look.

The bassani does sound very nice! I want something that looks a little different too. Anyone's opinion on injen exhaust?

Injen is discontinued I believe and so may be bassani. My motordyne was around 1300 shipped. The T1r sparrow I had did not include the y pipe it was just a mid pipe back you have to buy the y pipe separate. Also I had added test pipes when I had the t1r and it still wasn't loud at all it was raspy and hissed between 2k-3k rpms. My motordyne tdx1 has berk test pipes and has no rasp or hiss but has some drone which I don't mind at all. I personally wish I would have never bought the T1r I lost a lot of money when I went to sell it because no body really new what it sounded like. I also figured it would be good since it is very popular with s2k's also. If you want to avoid drone I'd recommend the motordyne tdx2.

Does the tdx2 make much noise on idle? Does it sound increase with revs or does most of the droning happen down low and as you get closer to redline, the sound doesn't get much louder? How about on the t1r? Was it like stock on idle and did it get much louder, if any at all as revs went up?

The t1r was much louder than stock at any rpm. There's a a bunch of sound clips of the tdx2 on YouTube.

motordyne tdx2 shipped to australia was $2,200 landed for me. i managed to get away without paying sales tax and import duty which wouldve pushed the price to over $2,500.

awesome exhaust though.
