Default removing exhaust n fitment

guys,
instead of getting a canister and making a custom single exhaust, i decided to pick up a custom single exhaust off g35 coupe. The piping is 3" and exhaust tip is 4.5". (he bought this custom exhaust from another guy few months ago. He has no idea what the brand is for the canister.) Will this custom exhaust off g35 coupe, work on my 350z directly? I read a post that g35 and 350z exhausts can be interchangeble.

Last time i attempted to remove the stock exhaust hanger, it didn't bother sliding off the rubber mount thing. I sprayed wd40 but failed. The hanger looks like a dick so the dick head part is too big for the rubber mount hole. Those of you who looked at the hangers, probably know what i am talking about
What would be the best way to remove it?

If the custom exhaust fits G35 then it won't fit 350z unless you chop it off and make it shorter.

As for the stock muffler, spray with WD40 inside the rubber hanger and move it back and forth to lubricate the entire metal piece of hangar. Then use tons of elbow grease to pull it off... If it wont budge, get a small flathead screwdriver, stick it in the hanger, and pull. I suggest having a jackstand below it once the muffler falls off because it's pretty heavy....... GL

In theory yes, you need to cut off about 6" to make it fit.

No bending... since the extension pipe for the g35 is straight

i don't see how you can say that with certainty without seeing the exhaust first. it is a "custom" exhaust, which most likely means some hack at midas bodged together some aluminized steel with a mig welder. whatever bends/shape he had to do to make it fit is unknown.

Well there's ought to be 6" or more straight pipe somewhere within the custom exhaust... Even if it's a custom exhaust, you don't expect it to bend like a snake every inch. But yeah, you're correct, we really need to see the custom exhaust first to make further assumptions
