Default remove stock cats?

Anyone have a good or know of a good howto write up for removing the stock cats. Hopefully step by step. Looks like its gonna be a pain in the a$$. I dont see how the do it yourselfer can break the bolts loose. No shops around here will touch the cats they say its illegal.

You can break the bolts loose. I did it in the garage with the wrong tools. They are back in though.

Its real easy! I can take both cats off in about 10 min. with a set of jack stands and a 14mm socket with a couple of different size extensions. The headers are what is a pain in the rear to take out.

Also, F.Y.I. get some PB blaster to help get the bolts loose.

wouldn't a light in your oddometer goes on after you get ur cat off?

Oh yeah, you will also need an O2 sensor tool to remove the oxygen sensors. You can get one at any local auto parts store.

Or you can just use a pair of vice grips.
