Default Anybody else get backfiring from Agency Power exhaust?

When I'm engine braking in second or third gear and about 2200-3000rpm my exhaust wants to backfire and pop until I push the clutch in. It doesn't bother me too much but I'm wondering why it does it. I have Berk HFC's, Stillen Y-pipe and Agency Power single. Anybody else's single exhaust do this?

I was hoping you would chime in being the exhaust *****, haha. Good, I was thinking maybe I had an exhaust leak or something because the cats were a pain to install and wasn't for sure if I got everything completely tight.

yes, during decel it's typical since the IDC will be at its lowest.

The exhaust causes the car to backfire? I didn't know that.

I had it tuned by Injected last year so it shouldn't be.

I thought the backfires were from the unburned gas mixture combusting in the exhaust system..? And a more free flowing exhaust would probably allow more backfires, I'd think.

Both can cause it. A rich backfire is usually very loud...like one or two loud bangs...this is not normal and definately tune related.

a lean decel is actually a steady misfire and sounds like burbling/popping which is very common with the VQ.

Call me crazy, but I love that my exhaust does the burbling/popping when I engine brake -

- it makes my sticker peck up.

I was jus kidding but on a serious note I personally don't mind there back fires but one thing that bothers me is I kno its unburned fuel that's exploding in my exhaust which transpires into fuel wasted..
Can't have one with out the other I guess
