Question Hks exhaust

KAY I have a question. I'm pretty sure I already know the answer.. But I figured I'd ask to confirm. I have an 05 DE and I started a turbo build. Next on the parts list is exhaust/test pipes. A friend of mine informed me that a friend of his was selling an HKS Hi-Power off of his G35 for 500 dollars with 3' test pipes. Said teh exhaust was on the car for >6 months. Will it fit my 350?

i dont remember, but im pretty sure the hks systems are made specific for each car. so for a 350z, you'd have to cut off like 6 inches...bring to an exhaust shop and i'm sure they can do for you

No. G35 - 350Z exhausts are not interchangeable.

What would be involved with cutting the pipes? Just some custom fab work? I kinda knew the answer would be No.. Like I said i just wanted to verify. But if I could just cut the pipes and resize... I would deff. be down for that. I mean I would be saving like 700 bucks on a nice exhaust.

Exactly what you said,
If the price is right, you can save urself some money, I'm pretty sure it's the h-pipe that is longer for the g35's so all you have to do is cut the flanges off and re-weld them on

Check to SE how long the fake hks extenders are so you can get an idea of how much to cut
I'm glad ur not supporting the knock-off, you deff. Will not be disappointed

Anybody know where I can find the lengths of each pipe online? I've been looking.. Can't seem to find it.

The XO2 (HKS cheap knock off) has extensions so that it can be used on a G35. I think it is 3 inch extensions but not 100% sure. Im sure if you check ebay it will be listed in the description.

Tell your friend I'll buy the exhaust if you decide not to. I have a G35 and need one.
