Default HR TurboXS Exhaust w/ Cats vs Test Pipes Comparison

IMO the car definitely sounded better with the stock cats, but it doesn't sound *bad* now. I just can't decide if the added power is worth all the noise. There really isn't any rasp, it's just really loud so it has that knocking sound that comes with the territory. =/ I hope this helps some of you with your decisions. =) I believe I am going to give ART Pipes a shot next to see if they can quiet it down a little. I would like to get rid of the off throttle low RPM "hiss" but I don't think that's possible.

Enjoy.

I liked the sound of my TurboXS, I just wanted it a bit louder. Soon after I put my FI resonated test pipes on, I bought another catback. I couldn't take the loudness/harshness. The TurboXS lost its distinctive and sexy sound.

I had the TurboXS on my last Z, and I have the HKS on my current one. I honestly liked the TurboXS better.

I wasnt kidding when I said it was loud . Just like you I love the power gains but I wish it was a little quieter. LMK how the ART pipes work out when you get them installed.

I think I heard someone complaining in the background towards the end of the vid. I think they said 'was that necessary dude?'.

Ive gone through like 15 exhaust setups. Ill tell you that you will never be satisfied with an exhaust. Ive settled with the most common setup on this site since it is the best compramise between sound, weight and power..

nismo cbe, MD y pipe with resonator, ur HFC, all mated to the right size piping.

My favorite part is right when you start it up in the beginning. You blow one of the most awesome landed leaf placements ever by some type of spruce out of your exhaust.
