M2 (Made by Megan) $70 shipped on ebay. Y-pipe makes almost no difference at all in sound or performance BTW.

idk i would beg the differ, if you have bigger diameter test pipes and sam for catback exhaust this could cause a bottle neck...

all depends on the rest of your setup

a Y pipe absolutely does have a large impact in performance as well as sound...depending on what the rest of the setup is.

If you plan on keeping the stock muffler, then get the HR y-pipe. If you plan to upgrade exhaust then get aftermarket (megan, whatever) y-pipe. Otherwise the outlet of the megan, et al will be much bigger than the stock mid-pipe.

wat

The only pipe I have seen that looks any different than the others is the ichiba I think? Its angled and straighter... The only place I can see any difference with the others is how the welds are smoothed out inside.

Edit: its the AAM...

there are a number of different, unique Y pipe configurations offered by various manufacturers. To name a few

Ultimate Racing
Sunline Racing
Mines (incorporates midpipe)

correct me if I'm wrong ... but if the ID of your output is 2.5" from test pipe all the way down to your exhaust, and you're not using resonated TPs or HFCs, it shouldn't matter. Piping is piping. As long as there is the correct diameter that won't constrict the flow through the entire system, then they're just pipes.

Keep in mind . You also pay for what you get. A cheap Y pipe is gonna work the same damn way as a 300 dollar one if the spec measurements are the same. But it's about quality, you run higher rinks of having the welds or material crap out on you with the 70$ ebay pipe than a more sophisticated brand pipe.

That is just me of course. Without resonators or HFCs, a pipe is a pipe.
