stock vs aftermarket headers...
are aftermarket headers for my 04 z really worth the money.. or would it be better to just keep the stock headers (won't make that big of a difference..?)
if you do think aftermarket headers are worth it,.. what brands do you guys recommend? by the time i would get headers, i will be running this setup:
Motordyne 5/16 spacer
injen cai
tanabe concept g full exhaust
berk tp
* possibly headers.. if so, which ones?!
thanks in advance

The header debate is about 8 years old. I ran headers on a 350Z:
16. Davidv ----------------------04 Enth 6spd 13.331@105.24mph 1.947 60ft Street
I often wonder how many of the "Headers are not worth shiit" members are in the Top-25?

dont u have MR LTs? iv really been debating MR long tubes with possibly cams however since i have a 05 DE i have no cam timing i believe so i would see some gains but not as much as a rev up would. So iv always been afraid to try. Dont wanna invest 1000 for maybe 5hp. Iv done that enough with exhausts lol

yes I have megan long tubes - I was going to do cams but I don't see the need to put cams (and then injectors) + retune for around 15hp+ average (from what research I have done and see from results on this board). My total hp dynoed after tune was 270-something...which is exactly where I thought it was going to be.
The different between longtubes and standard headers + test pipes is night and day, especially with the tune. The car is hella faster I mean it pushes me back in my seat in 6th gear at around 2500rpm's and that speaks volumes.
No matter what you do I'd suggest getting it tuned - if you click on my "garage" car under my username I have a full list of mods and video of the dyno. I do not believe I will do any more performance mods on the car since I am happy with what it does now. No more power mods - maybe a good plenum but nothing else.
Get the long tubes, installed and get the car tuned, it'll be like driving a new car.

Idk why this debate rages on. Long tubes were designed before the revup even came out and the revup doesn't do much better than the DE. You guys seriously need to look at the evidence and all the debate threads need to be cleaned up. They work in a BIG way.
For anyone interested, my MR long tubes are for sale.

The downside to longtubes is that if you don't have a "hookup" for inspections, its not a fun job to swap them out aside from just throwing in some cats in place of test pipes for inspection day. Not a big deal for some people, but something to think about for others.
