Not if they have a spot for the stock 02 sensors. No SES light here.

Interesting. Which ones you running? Mine never came on at all but there was a spot made custom for the 02 sensors on the RT's.

I guess it was just learning. Do you have this . "I'm running lean fear" too or have you checked? This seems to be the hot topic of the month. I talked to someone today who called it all hogwash and he owns 2 Z's moddified one blown.

I installed test pipes and got a cel light and could not get rid of it ,even after reseting the computer many times ,I ended up buying 02 simulators.

I use Zred's cat pipes, with O2 sensor mounts, and never get a CEL....

350Z service manual...

A three way catalyst with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of HOS2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the HOS2 switching frequency will increase.
When the frequency ratio of HOS 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the tree way catalyst 1 malfunction is diagnosed.
In short, a P0420 (bank 1) and/or a P0430 (bank 2) catalyst system efficiency code will be tripped.

Mine go on and off. No big deal really. By removing the cats, you already know that your emissions will be altered.

What I worry about more is the damn raspy sound from the kinetix pipes. In my opinion the pipes are great quality and everything, but the horrid sound they emit is not worth the extra 3 whp. Oh and I have a set for sale if anyone wants =)

around 19k miles on my "test pipes" and never had a single issue w/ a CEL light. I wouldn't doubt if there's some ODBII codes being tripped, but the light never came on.

guess the Z isnt as sensitive to stupid little problems, which is a good thing, my celica would trip CEL's for really retarded things, like not tightening the gas filller cap properly.

I have XERD headers that eliminate the cats and never had the light come on.

My light comes on and off, I get it reset at Pep Boys or Auto Zone when it does. And does anyone know if running test pipes will ruin your exhaust after a long time?

I have run both RT Cats and Test Pipes on my car NO CEL!

The only time I have seen them tripped on a car from the exhaust O2 sensors was when the sensors were dammaged during install.

(those installs were NOT done by performance nissan
