Interesting. Which ones you running? Mine never came on at all but there was a spot made custom for the 02 sensors on the RT's.
I guess it was just learning. Do you have this . "I'm running lean fear" too or have you checked? This seems to be the hot topic of the month. I talked to someone today who called it all hogwash and he owns 2 Z's moddified one blown.

350Z service manual...
In short, a P0420 (bank 1) and/or a P0430 (bank 2) catalyst system efficiency code will be tripped.
A three way catalyst with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of HOS2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the HOS2 switching frequency will increase.
When the frequency ratio of HOS 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the tree way catalyst 1 malfunction is diagnosed.

Mine go on and off. No big deal really. By removing the cats, you already know that your emissions will be altered.
What I worry about more is the damn raspy sound from the kinetix pipes. In my opinion the pipes are great quality and everything, but the horrid sound they emit is not worth the extra 3 whp. Oh and I have a set for sale if anyone wants =)

guess the Z isnt as sensitive to stupid little problems, which is a good thing, my celica would trip CEL's for really retarded things, like not tightening the gas filller cap properly.

The only time I have seen them tripped on a car from the exhaust O2 sensors was when the sensors were dammaged during install.
(those installs were NOT done by performance nissan
