I just got my Z a couple weeks ago and its completely stock, i want to make it a bit louder and ive been looking at exhausts. I was thinking about getting test pipes to make it really loud but without the catalytic converters wouldnt the lack of back pressure decrease my torque (from what ive heard from other people)? If you guys can suggest a loud exhaust thatll give me lots of backfiring thatd be much appreciated! thanks

 

taco bell in your mouth will improve backfiring.

prefer 5 layer and 7 layer burrrrrrrrrittttttto for max effect.

 

 

 

I'm sure you can find a unsed exhaust for under $500 that will make your car louder

Lot of options.But it looks like you want results not quality or be done "the best way".
I'd go down to ye old muffler shop and have e'm cut & weld something..put on some cheap glasspacks/Flowmasters.
