It's pretty simpe to install. Just follow the instructions. The biggest pain in the butt is putting in the two little screws that hold the heatshield to the plastic funnel.

Default Those Heat Shield Screws are a Royal Pain!

I agree totally with the others. The Pop Charger goes in very easily but those heat shield screws are a bear to get in. You will need a stubby phillips head or an offset phillips head.

Short Ram Intake.
Very easy install, except for those two little screws. Gotta use a stubby.

redline350ZZ.....here is a link. In fact this is where I got mine. There is a link on the page to an article from Nissan Performance Mag about the pop charger too.

Hey guys, does the POP charger really change the sound that the engine puts out in a a dramatic fashion in your honest opinions? I think the Mossy Nissan Z has one and I have heard that car moving in person but didn't hear anything out of the ordinary at low speeds (ie. parking lot driving and some light throttle on 2nd gear). Guess I need to go to some more meets and listen to these things. I've heard cars with CAI's like Injen and AEM drive off and I've never heard any dramatic change as a bystander. I guess its only when you're at high rpms and on the throttle....

I don't think either intake creates a lot of sound on their own. Some people think they do though. I think that if you get an aftermarket exhaust, the intake helps the exhaust make a nice sound. More air in....more air out.

Under 4000RPM you won't notice much sound wise. 4000RPM and up, it has a nice suction noise, and just in general makes the car louder, in a good way. Sounds wicked at WOT. For $100 mod that takes 30 minutes to install, it rocks! I got mine from Paul at Avalon Racing www.avalonracing.net.

It has a nice growl above 4000 RPM.
Nothing annoying.

Got mine from Avalon as well.

Yes, it is CARB certified and you get a CARB sticker along with the pop charger.
